EcoSync is a solidarity project born from the needs and aspirations of young people in Skydra, a rural area with deep agricultural traditions but significant environmental and digital challenges. Initiated by a committed team of five young citizens with diverse academic and professional backgrounds, and supported by the organization VINCO Greece, EcoSync is part of the European Solidarity Corps program.

The idea for EcoSync emerged from real-life challenges faced by young people in farming families, observing pollution caused by the improper disposal of fertilizer bags, experiencing the lack of access to digital tools, and feeling the community’s growing concern about sustainability. This project is a response to those challenges.

EcoSync aims to:

• Equip local youth and farmers with practical skills in sustainable agriculture and digital tools
• Build community resilience through education, collaboration, and innovation
• Promote responsible waste management and environmental stewardship
• Foster a culture of solidarity and collective responsibility

We believe that sustainability is not a trend, but a responsibility, and with the right knowledge, support, and digital infrastructure, rural communities can thrive both ecologically and economically.
